I Love You, Ronnie: The Letters of Ronald Reagan to Nancy Reagan

SYNOPSIS:
No matter what else was going on in his life or where he was—travelling to make movies for G.E., in the California governor’s office, at the White House, or on Air Force One, and sometimes even from across the room—Ronald Reagan wrote letters to Nancy Reagan, to express his love, thoughts, and feelings, and to stay in touch. Through letters and reflections, the characters, personalities, and private lives of a president and his first lady are revealed. Nancy Reagan comments on the letters and writes with love and insight about her husband and the many phases of their life together.

This memoir is so surprisingly poignant and heartfelt. Letters have always been such a personal love of mine and I hardly get rid of anything written that people give me over the years. It was so obvious how much Ronald Reagan loved his wife. These letters are so inspiring. That’s the kind of love that most people can only dream about. Their love is so genuine, rooted in faith and so real. I think we can all learn something through reading his letters to his wife. I can’t get over how much I love this book. It has nothing to do with politics but two people who were very much in love. So if you have time please read it. It’ll be worth the time and you’ll enjoy all the humor and love he put into every single one of his letters.
